Considering the negative state of our world and the fact that most people are of a Jesus believing religion...?
Q. Is it possible that Jesus was actually sent by Satan and not by God at all? Before anyone freaks out...I'm not an atheist, and I do believe there is probably a God. I am just curious if anyone else has noticed the correlation between the crisis our world is in and the fact that the majority of people in our world have some sort of belief in Jesus. reme_1, Yes they do. Please check out the link I posted. If you still don't believe me, you can look up the statistics for yourself. You may also not realize that Muslims believe in Jesus. I am SHOCKED at how many people in R&S didn't realize that Muslims believe in Jesus! Solly, You are incorrect. Muslims and Christian both believe in Jesus, and when you put those two religions together...the [cont.]

A. Hi! My new friend. Remember the last time I got mad at u it was b,coz u insulted God. I am mad at u again b,coz u say that Jesus (pbuh) might have been sent by satan. I am a muslim and u know muslims have a lot of love and respect for Jesus inspite of the fact that christians always ridicule the last messenger of God prophet Mohammed(pbuh). Jesus had prophecised the coming of prophet Mohammed . U r a very kind a nd good human being but I think u r skeptical about God. I really don't want u to go 2 hell b,coz of that as I really think that u r a good person. Ask yor cable operator 2 give u this T.V. channel . It shows the similarities between Islam and Christianity. The channel is PEACE T.V. May Allah bless u and give u guidance.

What is WICCA and why is it the fastest growing religion in the world?
Q. I found this on a statistics website, SOURCE: Adherents.com All the major religions of the world seem to be shrinking, especially Christianity... Why?
Asked by The Burninator - Fri Mar 2 13:03:53 2007 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The reason Wicca is growing is because a lot of teens find wicca to be a good relgion since it is so based on nature and it holds women and men equally and being gay is celebrated not a sin like in the christian religion. this website has detail on what wicca is.

Christians, do you take Christianity's enormous global popularity as evidence of its truth?
Q. If so, is this an admission that despite the lack of conformity to a single body of scriptural interpretation, almost 33% of the world is truly Christian and therefore Heaven-bound? Does this go against Matthew 7:14 "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." If not, then how do you feel about those that use the overwhelmingly enormous numbers of allegedly Christian people as evidence of Christianity's rectitude?

A. No two Christians have the exact same beliefs. Actually, that goes for all people. Who's to say there's only one answer? The only things in life that are black and white are Panda Bears, Zebras, Killer Whales, Dalmatians, Skunks, etc. But if you look on the inside even those are brightly colored. Nothing in life is one dimensional. Why should spirituality be any different?

Q. Religiously unaffiliated subjects had significantly more lifetime suicide attempts and more first-degree relatives who committed suicide than subjects who endorsed a religious affiliation. Unaffiliated subjects were younger, less often married, less often had children, and had less contact with family members. Furthermore, subjects with no religious affiliation perceived fewer reasons for living, particularly fewer moral objections to suicide. In terms of clinical characteristics, religiously unaffiliated subjects had more lifetime impulsively, aggression, and past substance use disorder. A. That's why I take people one at a time, since it certainly does not describe me. I'm very close to my extended family, am middle-aged and have been a happy atheist all of my life. No suicide attempts and of course in the early 70s I was using illegal drugs. Who wasn't besides a few Mormons? (My Mormon side of the family sure was.) It's good to know I'm lumped in with abortion clinic bombers and Islamic jihadists. And if you've ever met how many people claimed their god helped them get off of drugs, you'd wonder again about atheists. If this was a peer-reviewed paper you presented rather than an edited rewrite, you would have credibility.

A. Don't forget that a group like Christianity has a lot of persons that don't really believe but just want to be accepted by the rest of that group, or are trying to make themselves believe out of fear, or are children who have been spoonfed with no other options. Of course, the fastest growing group that you mention doesn't grow by brainwashing children, but rather by picking up converts, or enlightened people, from the other religions. The interesting thing is that that group doesn't actively seek converts in most cases, but it gets them anyway. Education and common sense do the job.

Does it bother Christians that adherents.com listed Muhammad "more influential" than Jesus Christ or St. Paul
Q. They also gave a brief reason as to why. I should also note that adherents.com isn't *necessarily* the author of this chart of influential people however their citing it does imply that they endorse it. PS: Before the mudslinging commences, know that I myself am a Christian. Bee! has a point that I hope everyone reads... Honorable mention to Pagan Dan, as well.

A. It doesn't bother me, as a Christian, in the least. The fact that Islam is gaining ground faster than Christianity, in America and elsewhere, has got nothing to do with Mohammed or Jesus or St. Paul, and everything to do with the spiritual needs of people in the modern world. Maybe we Christians should look into our hearts and minds, and see what we are doing or not doing that is turning people off.

Over the past 15 years Atheism has grown?
Q. 110% literally as the christian church has only grown 5%. Why do you think this is? source-
Asked by Kahlid Komar - Thu Jul 16 11:27:22 2009 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Sorry your statistics are eschewed. Only about 3% of the world are atheist, 15 years ago there were about 6 billion people meaning that 180 million were atheist. 110% growth means that now 378 billion are atheist a gross of 198 million. Christianity accounts for about 70% so that means 4.2 billion people were christian. An increase of only 5% gives you 210 million growth. In other words Christianity is still increasing faster.

Why must a person believe in another person's God?
Q. When it comes to religion, every religion is a cult until many people believe in it. The idea of monotheism has the function of making any other religion seem false because it states there is only one true god and that is its god. I believe there is a divine spirit but religion is a man made idea and man has always found a way to manipulate. Everyone tends to forget Christians and Muslims killed thousands of people in order to spread their belief in the past so its not like these religions weren't used for control means at one time. What are suicide terrorist trying to accomplish? Countries usually unify to destroy the attacker.?
Q. Is it the desire of terrorist to be destroyed? The United States and other Christian populations number about 2.1 billion and are more advanced in almost every area than the 1.5 billion people of Islam. ~ The US has not been very smart in the Iraq "Blood for Oil and Profit War," as the American People have only been spectators thus far. If the people really reacted to the steady diet of fear dished out by the administation, there would be no contest. The terrorist nations would not exist anymore. The US unified against the enemy in WWII and the British. On a smaller scale when the police come to a home to stop the family fight, both attack the police.
Asked by Pey - Sun Aug 26 14:39:21 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. They do want us to attack them. That way they know that they can spin it to be that we are attacking their religion, which would make them all crazy (as would Christians (well, a lot of them) under the same circumstances). Terrorists are just trying to ignite the fire in America so we lose sight of our real enemy and start taking broad swipes at anything Islam. That and terrorists fight dirty. They think nothing of nuking NYC with how many million of innocent. But if we did that, we'd be screwed until the hogs (sorry) come home.

Anyone Else Noticed Adherents.com/Famous J.W.s?
Q. Is very inaccurate? For instance, the information about Michael Jackson being 'lapsed'? - it's not that he doesn't 'practice' the faith, and is idle; it's because he is an unrepentant practicer of things detestable to Jehovah that he is no longer a Witness in good standing. Or that Terrence Howard is a Witness of Jehovah? In the newspaper article that I read recently, he said he is NOt a Witness, but would like to be one... and I tried to contact their 'contact us' link, but it's defunct! So, how does one clear up false junk like that? ps: anyone know of any other's on this list that are reported on erroneously? Updates?
Asked by hez b - Thu Apr 17 22:01:47 2008 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Anyone can put up a list of (insert group) on the internet. A Jehovah's Witness is one who is baptised and lives a godly life (whether in public or in private) and preaches God's word regularly and as best as s/he can. Someone who just had JW parents is NOT a JW. Someone who just grew up around JWs is NOT a JW. Someone who just attends meetings at the Kingdom Hall is NOT a JW. Someone who is currently just studying with JWs is NOT (yet) a JW. Someone who 'wants' to become a JW is NOT a JW.

How do some Christians justify activism to legislate morality against homosexuality when statistics of divorce

A. The battle against homosexuality is not one of hypocracy or morality. It isn't about defending institutions either. It is about hatred. People hate gays. They just hate them. Its that simple. Hatred doesn't have to make sense. It just is. Sure, people rationalize the hatred, but when you come right down to it, many of them would rather the gays just die. The hate will disappear on its own as our cities get older and the country gets more civilized. Just look at any civilized country with larger and older cities than our own and you will see gays being treated better. It will happen

A. Probably the same way half the Jackson family are. When a lot of money is in for them people tend to look over the fine points. I have seen pictures of katherine enjoying her own birthday party, big no-no. I asked a JW friend about that once and she said oh Katherine has no control if her family give her a birthday party. I said well she could walk out? I was always amazed at the justifications of the JW's. Like watching R rated movies because they did not look at the rating and therefore were unaware it was R? I have also seen pictures of the Williams tennis sisters celebrating their birthdays.

I'm not surprised that "the nonreligious/seculars&quo t; grew so much; I suppose we can thank the crazies for that AND the fact that the whole invisible-sky-critter scam is childish nonsense not too dissimilar to bogeymen under the bed; it was invented by crafty old men as a management tool to scare and or control peasants and small children.
